ECO-EFFICIENCY

The project

Energy efficiency and environmental management have been gaining increasing relevance in the last years, in particular with regard to cost savings, competitiveness of companies, reduction of dependency on energy imports and effective climate protection.

Those topics were at the centre stage of the project ECO-EFFICIENCY. During the two-year cooperation with institutions in Slovakia, Spain and Austria two successful training concepts in the field of energy efficiency and environmental management for small and medium enterprises (SME) were adapted to the needs of the partner countries. Results of the adaptation are a training manual and e-learning platform, comprising themes such as energy, water and waste management.

Both results were tested and confirmed with the target groups within the framework of a so-called pilot training and the e-learning offer. The results of the testing reveal that the concept and material enables employees in SME to implement eco-efficiency measures in their companies.
